Money transfer

No, DEGIRO doesn't facilitate urgent transfers.

Log in to the WebTrader and click the ‘Deposit/Withdraw Funds' button. Then select the option ‘Transfer funds from your investment account to your nominated bank account'. State the amount you would like to transfer. We will then ensure that this amount is transferred to your nominated bank account within 2 to 4 working days.

If you transfer money to your account via SOFORT it will be booked to your account within 30 minutes. If this is not the case we advise you to get in contact with the service desk.

If you transfer money manually it will be booked to your account after two working days on average. If this is not the case a few things could be the cause:

  • Transferred manually to the SOFORT bank account. Unfortunately we can only book these amounts to your account after four working days. Booking the money to the account is not done automatically, therefore we request you to let us know via customers@degiro.ch that you transferred manually to the SOFORT account to make it possible to link this payment to your account;

  • Transferred manually from an account that is not registered with us. In this case we ask you to let us know via customers@degiro.ch what amount you transferred and from which account you transferred it to us. In the case the name is the same as the one registered with us it will be linked to your account. If the name of the account is not the same as registered with us the payment will be transferred back to the account within 7 working days;

  • Transferred manually from an account that is linked to multiple accounts at DEGIRO. When you state the username of the account in the description the money will be linked to your account automatically. If you did not state your username in the description then we request you to let us know via an email to customers@degiro.ch what amount you transferred and what account this amount has to be booked to.

  • Other. Please contact Customer Service.

A client can rest assured that DEGIRO will not return funds to any account other than the one registered with DEGIRO. While we are able to change the account details the details should be owned by the same person.

 

 

We accept transfers from any European Union/European Economic Area* bank accounts which you’re the owner of.

 

* Exceptions are: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania.

DEGIRO has a Swiss registered bank account in order to process funds transfers.

You can transfer funds to DEGIRO in two ways.

1) via SOFORT (instant deposit)

2) Manual transfer (DEGIRO Swiss bank account)

If you transfer funds manually they are normally available in the WebTrader after two working days.
